Welcome

Welcome to our family website, a look into the lives of the Walker-Smith family, well thats the idea

To find out more about us read the whoweare page, to find out more about this site have a look at the colophon... hmm which doesn't yet exist

This site as it stands at present looks excellent on Mac, with Sarari, Netscape7.1, and Mozilla Firebird0.7, and now IE. If it looks bad in your browser, either buy a Mac or upgrade to the latest browsers!

This is a work in progress, I hope to turn the whole site over to this look and feel over the next few days, so this site may not be working 100%, esp in those pesky window browsers.

Omega Speedmaster X-33

On Monday 18th of August in Santiago, Chile I bought an Omega watch, following in my Mothers footsteps. The model I purchased was a Speedmaster X-33 (Ref. 3290.50.00 ), also known as the Mars Watch.

I have been looking from afar at this watch for quite a while. It holds for the me the best of both worlds, analogue display, used most of the time, and then the digital functions, used to wake me up this morning. Plus its nice and big and bulky which is how I like my watches. I see it as a family heirloom.

Since I was a child, after receiving my first digital watch, possibly for Xmas I have always liked watches, to the chagrin of my parents. Imagine as a small child being able to tell the time all by myself. This though is by most the finest watch I have ever owned, for being a person of moderate means. I hope one day to give this to my child, who will probably go and loose it the next day!

Hello, I bought a used Omega X-33 watch about 3 months ago. I like you, have always liked watches. This is the neatest watch I have ever owned. How accurate is your Omega Watch per day? The alarm and other functions are great!!!!!!!!!

T.Will, When I bought the watch I set the time using the GPS signal. That was on the 18th of August. At the moment I am away from my GPS, but when I am back I will try and measure a +/- with regard to the time lost etc.

I like the watch so much that I think I will make a web page sooner or later. I am working in the Atacama desert at the moment and would like to take some photos in the desert then retouch them, make it look like Mars. How sad is that. We have to have our hobbies!

My husband has an Omega X-33 since April 03. It's very accurate and works very silent. If someboby is looking for a perfect watch, Omega X-33 is the answer

Great watch. Great looking accurate, battery is 3 years old and going. Light, can be used as dress watch or casual. Perfect. Like it so much may stop buying watches.......

Communism has nothing to do with love. Communism is an excellent hammer which we use to destroy our enemy.

I bought the x-33 a few years ago. I really loved this watch until the kevlar band broke. Omega sent a new one. It broke again in about 4 months from everyday wear. I work a desk job so it wasn't abused. Now the "electronic module" in the watch won't activate the alarm. I took it to Bailey, Banks, & Biddle and they sent it to Omega. Now Omega wants over $500 to fix the watch. I know why it's standard issue for shuttle missions...because it doesn't last longer than a shuttle mission. Don't buy this watch, it's junk.
